EZProxy Provides New Way to Access Online Library Journals from Off Campus
The University Library System (ULS) has introduced a new service called EZProxy that can be used to access online journals and other library resources while off campus. This means it is no longer necessary to log in to the Secure Remote Access Service to access online library resources from off-campus locations.
The University's Secure Remote Access Service is still used to provide remote access to secure Web services that are not part of the University Library System. It also allows students to use self-service printing when off-campus or while using Wireless PittNet. In addition, Secure Remote Access Service Network Connect mode allows faculty and staff access to departmental servers and databases that reside behind Enterprise network firewalls.
