Update: University Email Outage Rescheduled for July 25 at 9:00 p.m.

9:00 p.m. Friday, July 25 to 7:00 a.m., Sunday, July 27, 2014

The My Pitt Email Upgrade scheduled to take place July 18-20 has been rescheduled for July 25-27. We would like to urge those who have not submitted their email preferences at My Pitt (my.pitt.edu) to do so by July 24.

The University email outage scheduled to begin on Friday, July 18 at 9:00 p.m. will now begin on Friday, July 25 at 9:00 p.m. The outage may last up to 18 hours from Friday, July 25 at 9:00 p.m. until Saturday, July 26 at 3:00 p.m. Email will be queued during this time, so no email will be lost. You will not be able to send or receive new email messages during this time, but you will still be able to access your current University email and view existing messages. Normal email service will resume earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

We will be sending follow-up email messages to faculty and staff who have not yet set their preferences. We will also contact Responsibility Center Account Administrators to provide information about which sponsored accounts in their responsibility center have not yet completed their email preferences.

Complete details about the upgrade and the benefits it provides are available on our Web site:
