CSSD Overview

CSSD provides innovative information technology services to support learning, teaching, research, and business at the University of Pittsburgh.

Among the many services that CSSD offers are data networking, security, telephone and voice systems, and the University's Web portal, my.pitt.edu. The state-of-the-art Network Operations Center provides secure hosting and monitoring services for enterprise-wide applications and network services. CSSD's Enterprise Solutions, including email, network-based firewalls, and Web hosting, bring the high reliability and consistent security required by the University. End-user support is available around the clock through the Technology Help Desk and is supplemented with a number of specialized, onsite support programs. CSSD's Software Licensing Service offers software packages to students, faculty, and staff at no cost or reduced cost

Behind the technology are CSSD's talented and highly-skilled people. These technical professionals have expertise in networking, telecommunications, application development, information security, computing operations, end-user support, and other technology-related areas. Their work at CSSD has received both local and national awards.

Access your university e-mail from any updated Web browser. Just log in to my.pitt.edu, select the Webmail tab, and click View Mail.
