Installing the InCommon and UserTrust Certificates (Windows)

Overview

You will need to install Network certificates if you plan to use Wireless PittNet or if you connect your computer to a wired network port in a residence hall or public area (like a classroom or conference room). These instructions explain how to install the certificates manually on your Windows computer. Once the certificate are installed, you will then need to configure your operating system using a separate help sheet.

Before installing the certificates and configuring your computer manually, visit here to learn how to complete these steps using an automated wizard. Note: The automated wizard will configure your computer to use Wireless PittNet, but it will not configure your computer to use Wireless-PittNet-Fast. You will need to connect to Wireless-PittNet-Fast manually.
