Leave a List

Log on to My Pitt (see the instructions above), uncheck the list you no longer want to follow, and click Save Preferences.

You can also text pitt unsub code to 41411, where code represents the name of the list you no longer want to follow. To unsubscribe from all lists at once, text pitt unsub all to 41411.

Note: When you leave the University and your University Computing Account is deactivated, you will automatically be unsubscribed from Pitt Text Message Updates.

Request Your Own List

CSSD's Notify U service enables you to create your own list for distributing Pitt Text Message Updates. To request a list, contact the Technology Help Desk at 412 624-HELP [4357] or submit a request online. There is no cost to set up a list.

When you send a message from your list, it automatically delivers a text message and/or email to everyone who has joined your list. You can even have your updates automatically posted to your Twitter and Facebook pages!

Note: Lists can be requested only by a full-time faculty or staff member. Student groups may also create a list if a full-time faculty or staff member sponsors their list and submits the request.
