Scammers often take advantage of public interest during natural disasters and other high-profile events to distribute new phishing emails. These scams may attempt to trick you into visiting a harmful website, opening a malicious attachment, or divulging sensitive information like your password or credit card number.
Be vigilant for these types of scams during the coming weeks. If you receive a message that you suspect may be a phishing scam, please report it by forwarding the email message as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tips for spotting phishing scams—along with detailed instructions for reporting suspicious email messages—are available on our Phishing Awareness page.
