CSSD is aware of an issue with some Google Pixel smartphones that affects the phone’s ability to connect, or stay connected, to wireless networks. Google is aware of the issue and has released an update to its Android mobile operating system—Oreo 8.1.0—that should resolve the problem.
If you experience issues connecting to Wireless PittNet or Wireless-PittNet-Fast with your Google Pixel phone, please complete the following steps:
- Navigate to the Settings icon.
- Tap on the About Devices icon.
- Tap on System Updates.
- Verify the latest update has been applied to your phone.
- Reconnect to Wireless PittNet.
