Resolved: Intermittent Issue Affecting Network Service in Some Buildings

The intermittent issue that affected wired and wireless network service in some locations on campus has been resolved.

The intermittent issue affecting wired network service in some locations on campus is also affecting some Avaya and Skype for Business voice over IP phones. Engineers continue to work on resolving the issue.

CSSD engineers have resolved the intermittent issue affecting wireless network service in some buildings on the Pittsburgh campus. Maintenance to resolve the intermittent issue affecting wired network service will occur during the standard downtime period this weekend.

The maintenance is scheduled to begin around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8 and will last approximately two hours. During this time, wired and wireless network service will be unavailable. Additional information about the maintenance is available on our website at http://technology.pitt.edu/oct8maint.

CSSD engineers continue to work with the vendor, Cisco, to investigate this intermittent issue.
