Off-Campus Consultants (OSCAR)
If you live off campus, Student Consultants (OSCAR Consultants) are available to provide technical support. OSCAR Consultants are students at the University of Pittsburgh who can help with campus network connections, virus and spyware removal, software installation, data backups, and much more.
To schedule an appointment with an OSCAR consultant, call the Technology Help Desk at 412-624-HELP [4357]. OSCAR (Off-campus Student Computer Assistance and Resources) is located in B42 Alumni Hall (in the basement, through the computing lab).
If you are interested in becoming an OSCAR Consultant, you can apply for student employee positions online. Positions are also available for Campus Computing Lab Consultants, ResCons, and Clerical Assistant/Administrative Support.
