Computing Services and Systems Development participates in eduroam (short for education roaming), a secure, world-wide roaming internet access service developed for the international research and education community.

eduroam enables you to use your University of Pittsburgh account credentials (email address and password) to obtain wireless access to the Internet at participating institutions around the world. Your colleagues from participating institutions can enjoy the same benefit when visiting Pitt.

eduroam service is currently available at more than 2,000 institutions worldwide. Visit the eduroam Web site to learn more about it.

Connecting to eduroam

When Traveling

  1. Select eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. Enter your University email address and your University Computing Account password.

When Visiting Pitt

  1. Select eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. Enter the email address and password from your home institution.

Note: Your home institution must participate in eduroam in order for you to use the service at Pitt.
