Meet Your Next Phone

Your current desk phone will be upgraded to either a wireless headset with noise cancelling capabilities (Plantronics Voyager Focus UC B825-M) or a handset (Polycom VVX 501).

The Skype for Business boss/admin feature allows management of a shared line between a boss and an admin. This feature allows for an administrative assistant(s) to answer, redirect, or transfer an incoming call on behalf of the boss(es) phone.

How do I turn off the meeting and appointment reminders that display on my handset?

You can turn off meeting reminders from the handset's touch screen display. First, press the black Home button on the upper right-hand side of the phone. On the touch-screen display, tap Settings, then Basic, then Preferences, then Calendar Settings then Reminder Settings then Reminder then Disabled

I already have a headset that I use for Skype. How do I switch between it and my new handset?

Use the Select Primary Device drop-down menu in the bottom left-hand corner of the Skype for Business client to switch between devices.

I’ve been signed out of my desk phone and can’t use the Web Sign-in because I use the “Call Me” option with multifactor authentication. How can I sign into my phone?

Sign in using one of the other two methods: via PC or User ID.
