Help with HTML

Overview

Your University Computing Account gives you access to space in the Andrew File System (AFS), including space where you may host a personal Web page. The first step is to create your Web pages using HyperText Markup Language (HTML). This help sheets covers some of the basics of HTML. More information on HTML can be found in the brief guide to HTML hosted by the World Wide Web Consortium, available on the Web at http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/.

Adobe Creative Cloud Webinar Recording Now Available

Wednesday, November 25, 2015 - 12:52

On November 17, Computing Services and Systems Development held the third in a series of educational webinars for University of Pittsburgh students, faculty, and staff. Representatives from Adobe provided a live training session on digital publishing techniques with Adobe Creative Cloud. You can view a recording of the webinar on Adobe’s Web site.

The webinar session explained how to:

  • Combine and repurpose digital content—Work with native files, images, or PDF files and edit content on the fly
  • Edit scanned images—Easily convert any paper document to an editable digital document
  • Protect information—Prevent others from copying or editing sensitive content by using PDFs
  • Use task-based actions—easily create, standardize and automate complex processes

Our next webinar on December 9 will explore enriching course content with Adobe Creative Cloud. You can register online.
