Android users may first have to change a setting to allow the installation of apps from unknown sources (see screenshot below). After you have installed the Pitt App Store, you can return to your security settings and uncheck the option to allow installation from unknown sources.

In Depth: Upload Files for Posting to iTunes U

iTunes U Content Administrators have the ability to upload audio files, video files, and PDF files to a file share for transfer to CSSD, which will then post them to iTunes U. This page provides instructions.

Directory Services: What is a Responsibility Center Account Administrator?

University academic and administrative units are grouped into Responsibility Centers (RCs). In order to limit the number of individuals with privileges to create and manage sponsored accounts, each RC has designated Responsibility Center Account Administrators (RC Administrators) to manage computing resources. RC Administrators assist faculty and staff with their primary accounts. They are responsible for distributing initial passwords to new University employees. They can also create sponsored accounts for approved purposes.

This document explains how to use Computrace LoJack for Laptops® to help in the recovery of your Windows laptop in the event of theft or loss. LoJack is a software application available at no cost to University of Pittsburgh students and allows your laptop to be traced in the event that it is ever lost or stolen.
