In Depth: Upload Files for Posting to iTunes U

iTunes U Content Administrators have the ability to upload audio files, video files, and PDF files to a file share for transfer to CSSD, which will then post them to iTunes U. This page provides instructions.

Important: Before uploading files, please ensure you have submitted the iTunes U Content Request form , which is received once you have received proper approval.

CSSD works with software companies to negotiate site license agreements and cost savings for University students and employees. In addition, CSSD ensures that all software made available in the labs and classrooms is licensed appropriately for the intended use.

You have three options when logging in via a Web browser:

 

Via lynda.pitt.edu:

  1. Go to lynda.pitt.edu and click Log In.

  2. Enter your University Computing Account username and password on the Pitt Passport authentication page and click Submit.

Computrace LoJack: Using Computrace LoJack to Protect Your Windows Laptop

Overview

This document explains how to use Computrace LoJack for Laptops® to help in the recovery of your Windows laptop in the event of theft or loss. LoJack is a software application available at no cost to University of Pittsburgh students and allows your laptop to be traced in the event that it is ever lost or stolen. LoJack is available via the Software Download Service at My Pitt.

Using Computrace LoJack

Overview

LoJack allows your laptop to be traced in the event that it is ever lost or stolen. You report the loss or theft to local police authorities, contact Computrace, and let the software installed on your computer work behind the scenes to silently and securely send its location to the Computrace Monitoring Center. The Computrace Recovery Team then tracks your computer's location and partners with local law enforcement to attempt to get your computer back.
