My Pitt Video: Availability (Publishing)

My Pitt Video (Panopto) allows you to designate the time frame when a session is available. This can be set at the folder or session level, allowing you to control what your viewers can see and when. This help sheet will walk you through the steps on setting up Availability rules for your folders and sessions.

Setting up Availability on Folders

To set up or change the Availability rules on the folder level, you will first want to locate the desired folder you wish to modify.

My Pitt Video: Video Switching

In My Pitt Video (Panopto) you can control and edit which video streams the viewer sees by editing individual streams in the My Pitt Video (Panopto) Editor. Editing the primary video source will edit on all streams, editing a secondary source will only affect that source. This documentation only pertains to editing secondary streams.

Note: this documentation assumes familiarity with basic editing.

My Pitt Video: Keynote 6 Compatibility

With the My Pitt Video (Panopto) Recorder for Mac OS X 10.6 - 10.9, presenters have the ability to capture their Keynote slide presentations.  The My Pitt Video (Panopto) Recorder has had compatibility with Keynote up to Apple's free update to version 6 which was released on October 22, 2013. The latest update is not compatible with the My Pitt Video (Panopto) Recorder because some features from iWork '09 are not available in the initial release.

My Pitt Video: Recording Hot Keys for Mac

Overview

Hotkeys have been added to the My Pitt Video (Panopto) Recorder as an extra feature to aid in session creation. Now you can use a few keys to toggle the Start, Pause, and Stop functions on the Panopto Recorder even if it is minimized or not the currently active window.

This means you can Stop recording while PowerPoint is still presenting. Likewise, you can also Pause the recorder without minimizing other opened content, making your presentation look smoother.

Mailman: Getting Started for Mailing List Administrators

Overview

This help sheet explains how to configure your Mailman mailing list.  Mailman is software used to manage electronic mail discussion and e-newsletter lists.  Mailman uses a Web interface that allows you to easily configure your mailing list and select your mailing list preferences.

University faculty and staff have access to Office 365 Email. To sucessfully utlilize this service versus our Legacy IMAP Email service, it is recommended that you upgrade to the latest version of your preferred Web browser.
