Telephone Services

CSSD provides telephone and voice services for the University community. Residence hall students have telephones with voice mail in their rooms. A variety of campus phone services are available to enhance the productivity of faculty and staff. Our state-of-the-art network and telecommunications equipment can also support more complex telephone services.

Report Problems

If you are having a problem with your telephone, please contact the Technology Help Desk at 412 624-HELP [4357] or submit a help request online.

Request Service

You can submit requests for new service, changes, or disconnections using the following online forms:

  • Telephone and Voice Mail Request: for telephones, voice mail services, and on-request services such as Voice Mail to Email, caller ID name change, call pickup, authorization codes, and more.
  • Verizon Directory Request: for department or individual listings in the Verizon White and Yellow pages.
  • Telecommunication Service Request: All other voice services can be requested using the Telecommunication Service Request (TSR), such as calling cards, mobile phones and PDAs, voice conferencing, data ports, billing inquiries, and video connectivity.
