Departments can purchase software for professional use on University computers; some software license agreements also permit home use.

Software Available at No Cost
Students can download a number of software titles at no cost including Microsoft Office, Windows, and other titles from the Software Download Service via My Pitt (my.pitt.edu).
Faculty, staff, and departments can get software at no cost in a number of ways. You can download software from the Software Download Service and the SecureU SharePoint site.
Departmental Software Purchases
Departmental software purchases are only made through PantherExpress available at My Pitt (my.pitt.edu). Learn how to make departmental software purchase here.
