ProShip, the University’s online shipping system and part of Mailing Services, will be unavailable from Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 p.m. until Sunday, Feb. 16, at 2 a.m. while Pitt IT completes a maintenance upgrade. The maintenance period was chosen in conjunction with University Mailing Services to limit the number of impacted users.
This maintenance is part of vendor-recommended best practices to ensure high levels of availability and continued reliability and stability of critical systems. The upgrade will affect the backend data servers only; there will be no changes to the ProShip application or interface.
Pitt IT has completed checks to ensure that the system is ready for the update. In the unlikely event of an issue, Pitt IT will work to determine the cause and resolve the issue.
