We’re excited to welcome your IT staff to the Pitt IT family. While you continue to work with familiar faces, you’ll now also have access to more than 325 professionals with expertise in a broad range of technologies, the full Pitt IT service portfolio, and support through our Technology Help Desk.
IT integration will include in-depth information gathering sessions for allowing Pitt IT to learn the specific needs of your department, while bolstering support to the existing IT staff. As your needs grow and change in the future, you’ll have immediate access to solutions tried and tested by other Pitt units.
We’ll work together to identify standard IT services that can be handled centrally. Your former IT staff will remain involved with projects they’ve spearheaded—with opportunities to focus on more strategic work, learn from their peers, and have a role in shaping the University’s broader technology strategy.
The goal of IT integration is a mutually beneficial partnership to help your department recognize efficiencies and leverage new technologies—while increasing IT support and expertise. The transition will move at a pace that compliments stakeholder comfort and readiness.
