SCHOLARSHIP, CREATIVITY, AND INNOVATION
Enhancing Efficiency for Grant Proposal Redactions
Pitt faculty members can access copies of their peers’ successful grant proposals to aid in their own grant application processes. Pitt IT collaborated with the Office of Research and a Microsoft partner to develop an automated tool that redacts personally identifiable information from these documents. This innovation replaces the previous manual redaction process, ensuring faster and more secure access to these resources.
IT'S POSSIBLE AT PITT
Providing Research Community Grant Support
Pitt IT is a close partner with the Center for Research Computing, supporting 249 active grants and bringing in $850 million in external funding to the University.
Understanding Our Infrastructure
Enterprise and research systems are housed on computing infrastructure hosted at the University’s Data Center, a physical building that needs to keep pace with changing power and cooling needs. To better understand our infrastructure, Pitt IT and the Office of Facilities Management are conducting a Data Center power and cooling study to recommend enhancements that support evolving research needs.
